ADA -- The Ohio Northern women's basketball team had six members named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference.

Senior Taylor Hermiller, senior Sara Kocian, junior Jordan Kimes, junior Mary Miller, sophomore Brooke Espenschied and sophomore Carly Thomas all earned accolades.

Hermiller, a pharmacy major, is named Academic All-OAC for the second time in her career.

This season, she started in all 29 games, averaging 4.2 ppg.

Kocian appeared in all 29 games this season, averaging a career best 6.0 ppg and dishing out a career-high 73 assists.

This is the second Academic All-OAC honor for the molecular biology major.

Kimes was earns her second Academic All-OAC award after being named First Team All-OAC last week.

She is majoring in art and theatre production and led the team in scoring (15.5 ppg), rebounding (9.0 rpg), field goal percentage (.593), 3-point percentage (.543) and blocks (56).

Miller played in 14 games this season.

This is the first time the criminal justice/political science major has been named Academic All-OAC.

Espenschied, a pharmacy major, earns her first Academic All-OAC honor.

This season, she played and started in 22 games, averaging 7.5 ppg and 4.8 rpg, both of which were career bests.

Thomas payed in all 29 games, averaging a career-high 9.4 ppg.

The biology/pre-med major earns her first Academic All-OAC honor.

Ohio Northern went 23-6 on the season and made its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA III Tournament.
