HARDIN COUNTY — The Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District is taking orders for tree seedlings and bare root transplants through Feb. 28. Order forms may be picked up at their office located at 12751 SR 309 West, Kenton. If you are interested in ordering trees, please plan to order as soon as possibly, due to limited quantities.

The following species are being offered for sale: Deciduous Varieties (sold in bundles of 10 each):

Red Maple (18”-24” seedling)

Red Oak (18”-24” seedling)

Conifer Varieties (sold in bundles of 10 each):

Arborvitae (18”-24” bare root transplant)

Blue Spruce (18”-24” bare root transplant)

Norway Spruce (18”-24” bare root transplant)

White Pine (18”-24” bare root transplant)

Dawn Redwood (18”-24” bare root transplant)

Please note that the trees are sold in bundles as listed. Typically the trees will arrive around the middle of April. The trees sold in our program are dug in the spring, as soon as weather permits.
