ADA — Harry Curtis Smith, Jr., 93, formerly of Kenton, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at 4:37 p.m., at the Mennonite Memorial Home, in Bluffton. He was born on Jan. 2, 1921, in Kenton, to Harry Curtis and Anna Marie (Williams) Smith, Sr., who preceded him in death. On Dec. 30, 1943, he married Dolores J. Trafelet and she survives in Bluffton.

Harry retired from Rockwell International, of Kenton, where he worked as a tooling engineer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Ada, and Kenton. Harry was also a member of the Latham Masonic Lodge #154 F&AM, of Kenton, and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #364, of Kenton. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII.

Also surviving is a son, Vernon L. (Barbara) Smith, of Ada; a daughter, Joyce Anne (David) Hall, of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Matthew (Julie) Hall and Leah (Greg) Hopkins; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Hall, Daniel Hall, Joseph Hall and Aiden Hopkins; a brother, William D. (Mary) Smith, of Sebring, Florida; and a sister Betty Bondi, of Kenton.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Jack Duffy officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery, Kenton, with graveside Military Honors to be conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, June 10, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until the time of the service on Wednesday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held by Latham Masonic Lodge #154 F&AM, of Kenton, at 8 p.m., on Tuesday, June 10, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
