KENTON — Janet P. “Jenny” Linke age 86 of Kenton, and formerly of Forest and Lakeview, passed away on Monday Jan. 9, 2017 at 7:45 a.m. at the Hardin Hills Health Center in Kenton.

She was born May 18, 1930 in Hardin County the daughter of the late Francis and Della (Shoffner) Clements. On April 17, 1949 Jenny married David “Dick” Linke and he passed away Sept. 9, 1987. In 2002 she met Andrew “Clay” Arthur and they were companions for 13 years until his passing in 2015.

Jenny is survived by her children, Ronald (Janet) Linke, Pamela (Terry) Coats, and Karen (Charles) Fulks all of Forest; grandchildren, Kim Miller, Becky (John) Pauley, Lori (Matt) Harp, Cindy McClain, Karla (Andrew) Lust, Jennifer (Andre) Miller and Jill (Danny) Richards; great grandchildren, Allyssa and Dakota Miller, Catlin, Cara, and Carrol Pauley, Logan, Austin, and Jaidyn Harp, Jonathan and Lauren McClain, Autumn, Iralynn, and Elijah Lust, Laney and Allie Miller, and Kaley Richards; brothers, Ernest (Eileen) Clements and Edward Clements both of Kenton; and the daughter of Clay Arthur, Jana Schelb of Lakeview, and his grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Linke and her sisters, Mary McElfresh and Irene Linke.

During her lifetime Jenny worked at Linke’s Produce and Bakery, and was a cook at the Kenton Elks Lodge and the Tilton Hilton at Indian Lake. She was a lifetime member of the Grant United Methodist Church, a 7th degree member of the Greenwood Grange, and a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #452 and Indian Lake Eagles Lodge #3615. Jenny enjoyed baking and won many Champion rosettes at the Hardin County Fair. She loved vegetable and flower gardening, going to garage sales, and fishing. She had previously lived at Indian Lake for over 20 years.

Funeral services for Janet P. “Jenny” Linke will be held Thursday Jan. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at the Schindewolf Stout Crates Funeral Home, Kenton with Pastor Cynthia Morrison officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Hueston Cemetery, Forest. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday Jan. 11, at the funeral home.
