ADA — N. Jean Hanson, 84, died on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at 2:14
p.m., at St. Rita’s Medical System, Lima. She was born on July 27,
1929, in Rimer, Ohio, to Charles and Irene (Myers) McBride and they
preceded her in death. She first married Robert Rieman on May 28, 1949,
and he died in Sept. 30, 1971. She then married Wellington A. Hanson on
Feb. 28, 1975 and he died July 12, 1975.
Jean was the owner and an instructor at Green Tree Stable, Inc., of
Ada. She was a former member of the Morgan Horse Association and a
part-time resident of Surprise, Ariz.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Rieman, of Ada, and Anthony Rieman, of
Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Jennifer (Gerald) Liebrecht, of Peoria,
Ariz.; two grandchildren, Chad Simpson and Cole Rieman; two
great-grandchildren, Harley Jane Simpson and Cash Simpson; three stepgrandchildren; a brother, James (Kay) McBride, of Delta; and a sister, Patricia Roethlisberger, of Columbus Grove.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014,
at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Thomas Dearth
officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada. Friends may call
from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at
Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until the time of service Thursday
at the funeral home.
