  • ADA —The Ohio Northern men were picked to finish third and the women fourth in the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Cross Country Coaches Polls.

     
  • ADA - The Ohio Northern volleyball team finished the weekend strong. The Polar Bears defeated Defiance and Wooster to win the 36th annual ONU Invitational.

     
  • COLUMBUS GROVE - The Ada cross country team competed in the season-opening Columbus Grove Invitational Saturday. 
  • ADA - It was never a contest as the Ada football team throttled local arch-rival Upper Scioto Valley 49-14 in their season-opening grudge match Friday night. 
  • ADA - Upper Sandusky came to Ada and defeated the scrappy Lady Bulldogs 5-1 in a girls soccer match Thursday evening. 
  • ADA - Ada junior Mackenzie Wills won the battle at first singles, but visiting Bluffton took the overall tennis "war" Thursday evening by nipping the Lady Bulldogs 3-2 at the park courts. 
  • CONTINENTAL — The Allen East girls soccer team visited Continental Tuesday evening dropping a 5-3 non-league decision to the Pirates. 
  • HARROD — The Allen East volleyball team jumped out to a quick two games to none lead on Lima Senior Tuesday evening. 
  • ADA - Visiting Kenton knocked the Ada girls tennis team from the unbeaten ranks with a tight 3-2 win in their Hardin County rivalry match Tuesday at the park courts. 
  • LIMA - The Ada boys golf team won a three-team match Tuesday evening at Colonial Hills. 
  • BELLEFONTAINE - The Ada volleyball team stayed undefeated with a hard-fought 25-17, 21-25, 26-24, 25-19 victory at Ben Logan Monday night. 
  • SPENCERVILLE - Host Spencerville raced to a 5-0 halftime lead but had to stave off a big rally by Ada to defeat the Bulldogs 6-4 in boys soccer action Saturday. 
  • CINCINNATI (AP) -- Atlanta's rallies came so often and went so long that manager Fredi Gonzalez worried his starter would lose his touch while sitting on the bench. 
  • PAYNE – Josiah Rager shot a 35 and the Lincolnview Lancers captured the 2014 championship of the Wayne Trace golf invitational Thursday at Pleasant Valley Golf Course. 
  • RIDGEWAY - The Ada volleyball team went to Ridgemont Thursday night and beat the Hardin County rival Gophers handily in straight sets by a 25-22, 25-10, 25-11 count.
