COLUMBUS GROVE — The Ada track and field teams competed at the annual Columbus Grove Invitational Thursday.

The Ada girls tied for eighth while the purple and gold boys tied for 11th in the 12-team meet.

Anna won the boys team title while host Columbus Grove captured the girls crown.



Freshman Nora Dellifield posted the top Ada finish by coming in third in the girls pole vault. Senior Grace Nelson and freshman Abbie James each took fourth in the shot put and 1,600 meters, respectively. Sophomore Morgan Swick finished fifth in the 1,600.

Jake Agin recorded the top Ada boys showing. The senior finished fourth in the discus. Sophomore Nathan Mattson took fifth in the shot put and sophomore Brad Clum was sixth in the long jump.
