RIDGEWAY — Host Ridgemont scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a tie and defeat county rival Ada 5-2 in a non-league baseball battle Thursday evening.

With the defeat, the Bulldogs dropped to 2-6. Meanwhile, the Gophers improved to 7-2 with the win despite being out-hit, 12-5.

The Bulldogs trailed early but rallied to grab a 2-1 lead with a run in the top of the fifth frame. But the Gophers knotted it 2-2 with a single run in the home half of the fifth.

Ridgemont then held Ada scoreless over the last two innings while putting up three runs in the sixth to win it.
