ADA - Visiting Crestview scored five runs in the top of the first inning and cruised to an 18-3 Northwest Conference baseball win over Ada on a chilly, windy Thursday evening.
The Knights improved to 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the NWC with the victory. The Bulldogs fell to 2-13 overall and 0-5 in league play with the loss.
Speedy Ada shortstop Brayden Sautter enjoyed a good day at the plate. He stroked a home run and a triple, scored two runs and also drove in a pair.
The Knights led 9-3 after three innings, then put the game out of reach with four runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth.
The game was shortened by the 10-run rule after five frames. Crestview out-hit Ada 13-7 and were aided by six Bulldog errors.

The Bulldogs boys visit Spencerville (5-7, 1-3 NWC) Monday.
Ada is scheduled to make up this past Monday's postponed conference game at Paulding (5-4, 2-1 NWC) Tuesday, May 6.
