MIDDLE POINT - Host Lincolnview jumped ahead early and never trailed in posting an 8-1 girls softball Northwest Conference win Monday evening over Ada.

The loss snapped a three-game Lady Bulldog win streak, dropping them to 7-3 overall and 0-3 in NWC play. The Lady Lancers improved to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in league action with the victory.

"We didn't play very well tonight," said Ada head coach Ken Jochims.

Lincolnview out-hit the Bulldogs 10 to three and took advantage of four Ada errors. Macala Ashbaugh smacked a pair of doubles and drove in four runs to lead the Lancers.

Ashley Sumner singled twice and drove in the lone Bulldog run to pace the Ada offense. Tori Wyss added the other hit.

Lancer hurler Ashley McClure struck out 11 Bulldogs and walked two, allowing just one earned run to earn the victory.
