McCOMB - Visiting Ada lost its last non-league tuneup baseball game at McComb Tuesday by a 6-0 count.

The Bulldogs fell to 2-2 with the defeat.

Senior outfielder Mason Acheson batted 2-3 to pace the five-hit Ada offense.

Bulldog southpaw hurler Connor English racked up six strikeouts and allowed only three earned runs. He scattered eight hits and issued three walks over six innings to finish a complete-game outing. Ada hurt itself with four errors on defense.

Andrew Adams earned the pitching win for McComb with seven shutout innings. He struck out nine, walked one and surrendered five hits.

McComb never relinquished the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when it scored on an RBI double by Taylor Reardon and a passed ball.

The Panthers added single runs in the second and third frames. They added two more in the bottom of the sixth to close the scoring.
