McGUFFEY - Host Upper Scioto Valley outscored rival Ada 3-2 in a wild eighth inning to win the opener 12-11, then rode that momentum to complete a sweep by taking the nightcap 8-3 in a non-league baseball doubleheader
Saturday.
The losses dropped the Bulldog record to 1-8 this spring.
Freshman Seth Evans paced Ada with three hits, three runs batted in and three runs in the seesaw opener.
The Bulldogs rallied to tie it 9-9 with a run in the top of the seventh, then appeared to be in good shape when they tacked on two more in the top of the eighth.
But the Rams rallied with three in the bottom of the extra frame to pull out the comeback win.
