ADA - Senior Lindsey Rayhill has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the Week of Dec. 2-8.

Over the three days of the Wooster Invitational, Rayhill broke her own school record and surpassed the NCAA "B" Cut in the 200 fly in 2:06:08 to lead the Ohio Northern women's swimming & diving team.

She also finish fourth in the 400 medley relay in 4:00.49 and fifth in the 100 fly in :57.83, just .1 of a second shy of the NCAA "B" Cut for the event. Rayhill also had a top-10 finish in the 200 I.M in 2:12.11.

The Polar Bears finished sixth of 10 teams with 940 points at the meet.

The Polar Bears will return home on Friday to host Findlay in a 6 pm dual meet at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.



Breitigam named OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week



ADA - Senior All-American Jordan Breitigam has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Dec. 2-8.

Over the three days of the Wooster Invitational, Breitigam won the 100 fly in a Wooster Invitational record and NCAA "B" Cut time of :49.47.

He also finished second in the 200 fly in an NCAA "B" Cut time of 1:53.61, finishing just. 1 of a second out of first place and was second in the 200 I.M. in 1:55.44.

The Polar Bears finished second of nine teams with 1,398 points.

Ohio Northern will return home on Friday to host Findlay in a 6 pm dual meet at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.



Cody Lovejoy named OAC Wrestler of the Week



ADA - Junior Cody Lovejoy has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for the week of Dec. 2-8. This marks the second time this season Lovejoy has earned this honor.

On Tuesday, Lovejoy notched a pin in 4:06 at 285 pounds to lead the Ohio Northern wrestling team to a 38-12 victory over Mount Saint Joseph.

At the 33rd annual ONU Invitational on Saturday, Lovejoy finished third at heavyweight with a 5-1 record with two pins and is now a team-best 9-1 on the season.

The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday and Sunday at the Midwest Classic at Indianapolis, Ind.
