MCGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley's girls basketball team grabbed a quick lead Tuesday evening in defeating Fairbanks 73-43  in non-league action.

The Rams had a 22-9 lead after the opening quarter and were up 39-21 at halftime after a 17-12 run in the second quarter.

Senior Emily Patton had a double for the Rams (15-3) as she scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds along with five assists. Shelby Spradlin added 16 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals and Alyssa Miller had 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kaycee Carroll added 10 points and Haley Hunsicker had five points for the Rams.

Logan Stidham had 13 points to lead Fairbanks (7-13) and Sydney Good finished with 10 points.
