ADA - Junior Mitchell Wilcox was voted the most valuable Ada boys swimmer while sophomore Kyley Stuart was named Lady Bulldog MVP at the team banquet held Tuesday night.
Wilcox finished fifth in the state 50 yard freestyle event last month at Canton. His senior brother Matthew, a four-year letterman, also made it to state again. Matt was named co-captain with classmate Caleb Stuart, who also won the boys coach's award.
Stuart advanced to districts with her twin sister, Katey, who took home the coach's award. Michaela Guyton was named girls captain.
Andrew Robey was the most improved male swimmer while Casey Swick earned most improved female.
Fourteen swimmers earned Northwest Conference scholar-athlete honors. To do so, a student must earn at least a 3.0 grade point average in season and win a letter.
