HARDIN COUNTY — The following is work scheduled to occur on state highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1, which includes Hardin County.

State Route 67 between the city of Kenton and the Wyandot County line, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair and resurfacing. Work is being performed by Shelly Company, Findlay.

State Route 53, just south of Patterson, closed April 2 for approximately 90 days for a bridge deck replacement. Traffic is detoured onto state Route 31, U.S. 68 and state Route 81 back onto state Route 53. Work is being performed by Eagle Bridge Company, Sidney. (see map)

U.S. 68 between state Route 81 and township Road 40, south of Dunkirk, will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for chip seal of the center line. Work is being done by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 195 between county Road 110 and township Road 100 (East Cottonwood Road), just south of McGuffey, closed June 6 for approximately 30 days for a resurfacing and widening project. Traffic is detoured onto county Road 110, state Route 235 and state Route 309 back onto state Route 195. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton. (see map)

State Route 195 from the village of McGuffey to state Route 309 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for a chip seal project. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 292 between state Route 31 and Ridgeway will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for a chip seal project. Work is being done by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

State Route 309 between the Allen County line and the city of Kenton will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for resurfacing. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

ALLEN COUNTY — Interstate 75 between Bentley Road and state Route 103 will be restricted to one lane at times for a bridge repair project. Work will occur on I-75 over Riley Creek in Allen County and on the county Road 15 bridge over Interstate 75 in Hancock County. The project is expected to be completed in late September. Work is being performed by Miller Brothers Construction, Archbold.

The project will have the following anticipated impacts to traffic:

Interstate 75 in both directions is restricted at times to one lane in each direction through the work zone. A maximum width restriction of 13 feet is in place during the lane restriction.

Variable speed limits are in place through the work zone. Electronic messages boards display the posted, legal speed limit, which will be reduced during construction operations and presence of workers in the area. The posted speed limit on the electronic boards is enforceable by law.

Interstate 75 ramp work

The following Interstate 75 ramps will be affected by pavement repair:

Interstate 75 northbound exit ramp to state Route 696, Beaverdam, will remain open but will be restricted during pavement repair beginning the week of June 18. Work is expected to be completed within a week. Work is being performed by Shelly & Sands, Zanesville.

Interstate 75 southbound entrance ramp from state Route 696, Beaverdam, will close Friday, June 22 at 9 p.m. until Monday, June 25 at 6 a.m. Traffic detoured onto Interstate 75 northbound to Bentley Road back to Interstate 75 southbound. Work is being performed by Shelly & Sands, Zanesville. (see map)

Interstate 75 southbound entrance ramp at Bluelick Road, Lima, will close June 25 for approximately seven days for a joint repair project. Traffic will be detoured onto Interstate 75 northbound to Napoleon Road back to Interstate 75 southbound. Work is being performed by Complete General Construction, Columbus. (see map)

Interstate 75 northbound between state Route 81 and Napoleon Road will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

State Route 696, between U.S. 30 and the village of Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during pavement resurfacing which will begin late in the week of June 18. Work is being performed by Shelly & Sands, Zanesville.

State Route 65 between Grand Avenue and state Route 115, Lima, is reduced to one lane through the work zone at various locations for work related to a roadway rehabilitation project that will last through the summer. Work is being performed by the Shelly Company, Findlay.

The following impacts to traffic are occurring:

Traffic has been switched on state Route 65 between Northern Avenue and Jacobs Avenue, just north of Casa Lu Al Restaurant, to the southbound side of the roadway while widening work on the northbound side of the road takes place.

One lane of traffic is maintained in both directions. The turn lane is not available.

Traffic delays can be expected during the project.

State Route 81 from Wapak Road to Eastown Road, Lima, is no longer restricted as curb ramp work is mostly complete. Resurfacing of the route will occur in the coming weeks. Work is being performed by Shelly Company, Findlay.
