Where were you born? Where did you grow up?
I was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, and grew up in Belmont, Ohio.

What brought you to this area? Or kept you here?
I came here to work at Ohio Northern University, after obtaining my Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of South Florida.

What is your occupation?
I am an Associate Professor of Psychology at Ohio Northern University.

Why do you love what you do?
I love teaching and mentoring students because it allows me, at least in some small way, to contribute to the development of our future leaders and scholars.
I also conduct research that focuses on developing a better understanding of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I love that my research could one day benefit individuals who are suffering from such a terrible psychological illness.

What is your favorite thing about this community?
My favorite thing about this community is the friendliness of the people who live and work here.

What are you involved within the community?
I am a member and trustee of the First Baptist Church of Ada. I have also helped coach youth soccer and flag football teams.

What are some of your hobbies?
Playing ice hockey and guitar.
