Stacey Hensley - Ada Herald
Stacey Hensley.

Where were you born?
For the first five years of my life, I lived in Alger, even attended Headstart at Alger Assembly of God. Then my family moved to the Ridgemont School District in time for me to Start Kindergarten, and lived in the country from age 5 to 18.

What brought you to this area? Or kept you here?
I’ve always loved this area. Even though I moved away at a young age, I visited often, since I still had family here. I moved back after graduation and started working in the kitchen, where I met my future husband.

What is your occupation?
I’m a library assistant at the Alger Public Library and an independent Scentsy consultant.

Why do you love what you do?
One thing that I have always loved are books. Stories can be therapeutic and can help you when you have need to escape for a bit.

What is your favorite thing about this community?
The closeness of the community. A lot of the parents I’m friends with today I knew as a child, and we got to raise our kids here together.

What are you involved with in the community?
I would have to say the library is in the heart of the community, and I love helping patrons out with their needs.

What are some of your hobbies?
I love to read — mostly romantic stories, but also mysteries — and to bake.
