Where were you born? Where did you grow up?

I was born in Coldwater, OH and grew up there. I went to Coldwater Exempted Village Schools my entire life and graduated from there in 2012. I still live in Coldwater with my wonderful family.

What brought you to this area? Or kept you here?

When searching for a job this school year, Allen East came into view and I decided to interview and take the position. I was excited to teach choirs to the wonderful students here and to begin a new chapter in my music educator career.

What is your occupation?

I am the choral director at Allen East Local Schools.

Why do you love what you do?

I love what I do because I get the chance to combine my two favorite things, music and teaching. I absolutely love music and getting the chance to teach students about music and help them learn and become independent musicians drives my passion for my profession. I love my job!

What is your favorite thing about this community?

My favorite thing about the community is that all of the people here are very supportive of their students and the arts themselves. It is very important to have support from a community to better the education for the students. By having wonderful parents and support systems, our music program at Allen East thrives and the students receive a terrific musical experience.

What are you involved in within the community?

I am involved in the Lima Symphony Chorus and perform with them at the Lima Civic Center. This is to continue my love for music and also to be seen in public by my students and their families.

What are some of your hobbies?

My hobbies include singing, swimming, reading, playing with my puppy Mina, cooking, and always listening to new music.
