TIFFIN — Robert Edward Hitchcock, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at his residence.

Robert was born on March 16, 1935, in Ada, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Della (Schnegg) Hitchcock.

Survivors include his children, Ed (Saundra) Hitchcock of Mesa, AZ, Mike Hitchcock of Tiffin, Jim Hitchcock of Arizona, Lynda Hitchcock of EL Cajon, CA, Bob Hitchcock of Phoenix, AZ four grandchildren, Brian, Angela, Sheila, Kyle, one great-grandson, Harry, a sister, Darlene Combs of Alabama, his best friend, Sandy and a very special friend, Bernice Mira.

Robert was retired after 40 years in newspaper production. He was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Robert was a United States Army veteran serving during Korea from 1955 until 1957.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Betty Benham and Ellen Badgther.

Graveside services for Robert will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, November 15, 2019, at Woodlawn cemetery in Ada, OH. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin.
