Here is the latest music schedule for the Verdin Carillon Clock that stands in Ada's Railroad Depot Park: Monday through Friday at 11:55 a.m. "Star Spangled Banner" ; Monday through Friday at 3:25 p.m. "This Is My Country" ; and Monday through Friday at 9:55 p.m. "America The Beautiful."

Notice to Washington Township residents

There will be a "Block Watch" meeting on Sunday, March 13, at 3:00 p.m. at the Township Building in Dola. All interested residents are invited to attend this meeting. The township needs the help and cooperation of everyone to make this "Block Watch" program successful. Plan to attend, even if you just want information. Hardin County Republicans host Lincoln Day Dinner

The Hardin County Republicans have scheduled its Lincoln Day Dinner for Sunday, March 13, at St. John's United Church of Christ. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with social time, and a 6:30 p.m. meal. The speaker for the evening will be newly appointed State Representative, Robert Sprague. Mr. Sprague was appointed to fill the seat left vacant by the appointment of Cliff Hite to the Ohio Senate. ONU Women to meet at ReStore on March 14

The March meeting of ONU Women will be on Monday, March 14, at the ReStore Community Center, 210 N. Main. The program will be "Reasons for Restoration at ReStore" and be presented by Julie Brewer.

Historical Society to meet March 15

The LaFayette-Jackson Historial Society will meet on March 15, at 7 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church. This is a change from the regular March meeting date of March 8.

ReStore to offer tax assistance on March 16

Appointments are still available at the ReStore Community Center for income tax preparation on Wednesday, March 16. Ohio Benefit Bank counselors will provide tax preparation free of charge to those who qualify. Call 419-558-1015 to set up an appointment.

Blood Drive in Ada March 21

The Hardin County Bloodmobile will be in Ada on Monday, March 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Community Health Professionals building, 1200 S. Main Street. If you are not on a list, you may call 419-634-1333 for an appointment.

Free meals in Kenton

March 28 through April 1

The Hardin County Community S.O.U.P. service will provide free hot meals to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 28 through April 1 at St. Anthony's Center, located at 220 E. North Street in Kenton. Monetary or food donations may be dropped off or sent to Bobbi Fee at Home Savings and Loan in Kenton. All donations help to continue the S.O.U.P. program.

Blood Drive at Allen East Schools March 25

A blood drive will be held at Allen East Schools on March 25 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The school is located at 9105 Harding Highway, Harrod, and the blood drive will take place in the high school gym. Every donor will receive a t-shirt.
