ADA – The Ohio Northern women's soccer team is the preseason favorite to win the 2019 Ohio Athletic Conference title according to the OAC Coaches Preseason Poll in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.

Northern received 77 points and five first place votes to edge Otterbein, who received 76 points and the remaining five first place votes.

Capital was picked third with 66 points and Mount Union was picked fourth with 54 points.

The Polar Bears went 14-4-1 overall and were second in the OAC with a 7-1-1 league record. ONU then advanced to the finals of the OAC Tournament with a semifinal victory over Mount Union prior to an overtime loss at Otterbein.

Ohio Northern will open its 2019 schedule on Sept. 30 at the Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) Tartan Cup against Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) under 16th-year interim head coach Mark Batman.
