ADA — Upper Scioto Valley came ready to play defense Saturday night against Allen East.
The Rams held the Mustangs to just two points in the opening quarter on their way to a 65-33 win over the Mustangs in the championship game of the Border Battle Tournament at Ada.  This is the second straight year the Rams have won the two-day tournament.
USV got off to a good start as they outscored the Mustangs 18-2 in the first quarter. Quinn Sanders scored nine points in the first quarter for the Rams and Wyatt Daniels added five points as he had a three-pointer. Tyler Clum scored the only two points of the opening quarter for the Mustangs.



Allen East scored 10 points in the second quarter, but the Rams were able to add to their lead as they scored 16 points. Six different players scored points in the quarter for the Rams as Kirkland Rohrs, Brady Hipsher and Sanders all hit a three-pointer and Wayne Lowery had a three point play. Clum had four points for Allen East in the quarter, while Logan McCluer and Brady Harris both hit a three-pointer.
USV continued to pull away in the third quarter with a 19-16 scoring advantage. Sanders had nine points in the quarter for the Rams and Lowery added five points. Mason Dotson had nine points for the Mustangs as he had a three point play and hit two three-pointers.
USV finished the game with a 12-5 fourth quarter scoring run.
Sanders led the Rams with 21 points and four rebounds,while Lowery had nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds along with five assists. Dylan Thompson had seven points and six rebounds. Brady Hipsher had six points and four assists for USV.
Tyler Clum had 10 points to lead the Mustangs and Dotson had nine points. Harris added seven points to the Allen East totals.
